The Tectite by Apollo IPS Brass Push-To-Connect x CTS Street Transition Adapter is a reliable and versatile fitting designed to allow the user to transition from CTS (copper tube sized) pipe to IPS (iron pipe sized) pipe, typically PVC utilizing push-to-connect technology. The transition adapter has a IPS push-to-connect end indicated by the white collar and a CTS sized street or stem on the opposing end which is suitable for insertion into any existing or new CTS sized push-to-connect fitting. This versatility allows limitless options when it comes to converting from CTS to IPS sized pipes. Tectite by Apollo push-to-connect fittings are the cleanest and simplest way to join any combination of copper, CPVC, PE-RT and PEX pipe without the use of tools, solder, open flame or glue. Simply insert the pipe to allow the high-strength stainless steel teeth to grip the pipe securely against the specially designed O-ring. Fitting removal and reuse is just as simple using a simple demount clip (sold separately). After assembly, fittings may be rotated for simpler installation in tight spaces. All Tectite by Apollo fittings are approved for use in both potable water and hydronic heating piping systems.
